Description

CFC-THIAM is an oral antibacterial solution containing Thiamphenicol (25%), a broad-spectrum broad-acting synthetic analogue of chloramphenicol that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis. It penetrates rapidly into body tissues—including lung and intestinal mucosa—to quickly control systemic and localized bacterial pathogens in farm animals and poultry.

  • Gastrointestinal Infections: Controls Necrotic Enteritis (Clostridium perfringens), Fowl Typhoid, Pullorum Disease, and Salmonellosis (Salmonella spp.).

  • Respiratory Infections: Treats Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD), Infectious Coryza (Haemophilus paragallinarum), and Pasteurellosis / Fowl Cholera (Pasteurella multocida).

Active Ingredient:

  • Thiamphenicol: 25% w/v (250 mg per ml)

Target Animals:

  • Poultry: Broilers, Layers (non-producing), Breeders

  • Livestock: Cattle / Calves, Sheep, Goats, Pigs

Dosage & Administration:

  • General Administration: Administer via clean drinking water for 3 to 5 consecutive days.

  • Poultry: $1\text{ ml}$ per $1-2\text{ liters}$ of drinking water (or $4\text{ ml}$ per $10\text{ kg}$ body weight daily).

  • Calves & Pigs: $2-4\text{ ml}$ per $10\text{ kg}$ body weight daily in divided doses.

  • Instructions: Prepare fresh medicated water every 24 hours. Use under the supervision of a registered veterinarian.

Precautions & Warnings:

  • Contraindications: Do not administer to animals hypersensitive to amphenicols or those with severe renal impairment. Do not use in active ruminating adult cattle.

  • Egg Safety: Do not use in commercial laying hens producing eggs for human consumption.

  • Withdrawal Period: Meat – 12 days.
